My name is Prof. Maria M. Soto Salas and I work as an English teacher for 8th and 9th grade in Marcelino Rodriguez Roman. Our school is located in Moca and there are two levels: intermediate and high school. I have a MA in ESL from the University of Turabo and I'm a HQT teacher.
The goal of the DE in the English Program is to offer quality education to all students, to develop their communications skill. It also gives the student the opportunity of learning a second language, facilitating the comprehension of a cultural world that is different from ours.
It is my goal to help students achieve written and verbal competency. They will also be exposed to different genres in reading comprehension. Poetry will also be given in this course. I hope you enjoy this learning experience.
